TAOR TRAIL
€ 1282
Taor Trail is designed to be suitable for both experienced and inexperienced riders. The groups are divided accordingly, and the daily routes vary in speed and distance.
Serbia is known for having the largest network of forest roads in Europe, which allows us to ride far from the city bustle, traffic, and asphalt — deep into nature.
What makes Taor Trail special is that it follows the slopes of Mount Povlen, a protected natural reserve. This region is also historically significant — ancient Roman roads once passed through here, and at the foot of the village lies a 13th-century town and a small church from the same period.
Within a 30 km radius, there used to be as many as 12 medieval towns. Of course, centuries of nature have covered most of them, leaving only a few ruins and remnants of Roman roads.
Our estate is located at 1100 meters above sea level, so most of your stay will be spent in this “air spa” environment. However, for one night we ride out to the area of Sebovina or Skakavci, where we stay at a traditional Serbian rural household. There, our hosts will welcome you with local products — homemade rakija (fruit brandy), honey, and authentic Serbian specialties. You’ll also get a glimpse into how a typical Serbian village lives today in the 21st century.
If the timing allows on your arrival day, we also organize a visit to the famous Jelić Winery in Valjevo, which produces wines from local grape varieties like Prokupac and Tamjanika. In addition, we visit the historic Čelije Monastery, dating back to the 13th century, which is a protected cultural monument of the Republic of Serbia.
